The Private Security Authority, which was established pursuant to the Private Security Services Act 2004, is the statutory body with responsibility for licensing and regulating the private security industry in Ireland.

Licensing Questionnaire On Private Investigators


The PSA is commencing work on the licensing of Private Investigators in accordance with the Private Security Services Acts 2004 and 2011. As part of its preliminary work the PSA has issued a questionnaire which it hopes will gather information on the scope and activities of the private investigation industry. The questionnaire is aimed at Private Investigators, their clients and others who have an interest in the sector.
