    Private Security (Exemption) Order 2007

     The Private Security Authority in accordance with Section 3(3) of the Private Security Services Act, 2004 (No.12 of 2004) hereby gives notice of the following exemptions issued under the Private Security (Exemption) Order 2007.

    These exemptions are issued to Contractors in order to obtain Standard EN50131 which is required for licensing.

      Prima Security Limited t/a Secure Watch with a registered address of 29 St. Malachy's Drive, Greenhills,Dublin 12 was found guilty of illegally installing an Intruder Alarm system at the Dublin District Court. Judge Conal Gibbons convicted Prima Security Limited of breaching the Private Security Services Acts and fines were imposed on the company.

      The Private Security Authority, together with An Garda Síochána, conducted inspections at 29 licensed premises last Saturday night, the 14th April 2012. Gardaí from Store Street Station accompanied inspectors from the Authority on visits to public houses in Dublin city centre.
